This is my view of the world for the next few days. Long days in the seat of the tractor are necessary to maintain the health/vigor of the pasture. It's super dry with no rain in sight, so we're leaving some paddocks for the sheep to graze. Fingers crossed for more rain, but I have a feeling it's going to be a long, hot summer....

Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Sold the cow herd this past week. After a great deal of reflection and analysis of the pastures, we decided it was best to sell them, rejuvenate where they previously grazed, and reevaluate our grazing plan.

My man Prodigy cleans up well. Grandson of the first sheep born on the farm, he's a good natured boy as far as rams go, and and an easy keeper to boot.

Finally finished the yarn preorders and updated the yarn and roving in the Etsy store.

March madness is in full swing! Babies are on the ground and yarn is back from the mill! The weather looks as if will cooperate, so I am planning to start shearing next week.

Everything is overhead when you're short. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Repurposing free junkyard awning from Marketplace into a greenhouse. Fighting the urge to rework the old welds-- on galvanized steel of course-- but this project is functional rather than beautiful. It's hard to square things already welded crooked, but I will just have to live with the imperfections, I guess.
